After I set up a folder and select it, I then try to select the 'Servers, Version Control and Advanced Settings tabs in the Site Setup folder. None can be selected so I can't set up access to upload, test and do all the other connections that will connect Dreamweaver to my website on the web. Do I need to go to another program, such as a CuteFTP to upload my site from my computer to the web? No one has addressed my unique aspects of the 'root folder ' problem. I am unable to search in Dreamweaver for a string of characters. I've been using Dreamweaver is 4.0 and I'm close to scrapping it and finding a replacement. Does anyone have any suggestions? You also have to get the name of the directory exactly right. Or you can create a directory (named "dummy" for instance) inside the one you want to and then select the "dummy" folder.
