Registering a domain name (GoDaddy)

2 Create a GoDaddy account

Before you can actually check out, you’ll need a GoDaddy account (you’ll use this account to renew your domain and to register additional domains in the future). If you already have a GoDaddy account, login to your account at the top of this page. Otherwise, create your account by filling out the required fields (indicated by a red asterisk) and clicking the orange Continue button.

Warning: The information you enter here (Name, Address, Email and Phone Number) will be available to the public; so don’t enter your super secret unlisted number in this field. You will have the option to select private registration (to keep your information from being publicly available) in the next screen for an additional fee.

Also, it’s important to keep your email address information current with GoDaddy since this is how they will contact you when it’s time to renew your registration.
